Linda Lorraine Wester Fay, age 60 of Lewis, Iowa, passed away Friday, December 23, 2022, at Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic. She was born the daughter of Eric Emerson Wester and Gladys Jane (Christensen) Wester Thomas on March 28, 1960, in Atlantic. Linda attended and graduated from Atlantic High School. While she grew up and spent her early life in the Atlantic, she settled down with her version of an ideal life in Lewis, IA. It was there that she devoted her life to love, family and happiness.
In 1980, Linda was united in marriage to Todd Knutsen to this union, one child was born, Steven Todd Knutsen born on August 2, 1982. On June 9, 1984, Linda was united in marriage to Brett Alan Fay at the Lewis Church of Christ, and to this union, one child was born, Ashley Ann Fay on December 13, 1984.
Linda started out as a waitress but quickly moved into nursing where she spent several years as a CNA. She also spent many years working in medical records. Linda would end her working career as a bank teller at Nishna Valley Credit Union before retiring in 2016.
She enjoyed spending time with her 4-leggers, Cleo and Sissy. She loved to sit on her front porch soaking up the sunshine. Linda looked forward to “date nights” to watch Dancing With The Stars.
She was preceded in death by: Satchmo; her parents, Eric Wester, and Gladys Thomas; daughter, Ashley Fay; brother, Rodney Wester; grandparents, Alfred and Rosie Harmsen Christensen Dietz; her uncles, Roger Christensen and Kenneth Wester.
She is survived by her husband, Brett Fay of Lewis; son, Steven Fay; sister, Brenda Buboltz; nephews, Brad Clausen and Josh Larsen; as well as a niece, Jennifer Claussen.
A Life Celebration will be held from 1 pm till 4 pm on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at the Lewis Community Building in Lewis, IA. The family will be present at that time.
